Probably one of the best B-team V SDL events organised in many years. The match was played in great spirit and the B-team managed to get 4.5 points from the 12 this year.
The annual Boat Race was successfully claimed again by the B-team and a record number of people took part.
Ash & Grant did an amazing job and great fun was had by all. Let us hope next year is bigger and better.
We have two amazing ticket options for NYE.
For those who like a sit down meal we have an incredible hot and cold buffet by our excellent Chef Dean. (£25.00)
For those who like just a drink and nibbles we have an entertainment ticket. (£12.50)
Both tickets will include a prosecco and canapes on arrival.
The music duo Mitch & Ollie are fantastic and are guaranteed to have us rocking into 2018.

We look forward to seeing you there.
Social Mix competitions have continued on a monthly basis throughout the year with only two meetings cancelled due to dire weather.
These meetings are open to ALL members, the only criteria being that you put your name down with a player of the opposite sex.
Our fun competitions are followed by a meal, raffle and distribution of “glittering prizes”—-what’s not to like?
Next meeting is on Sunday November 12th, the list now up in the foyer. List will also be going up shortly for the Xmas Social Mix on Sunday, December 3rd, a festive and hugely enjoyable event so don’t miss out.
Finally, the list for our “Away” event at Bowood Park on 20/21st May 2018 is also up, numbers are limited so put your names up now.

Members & Green keepers Work in Harmony
On Tuesday morning some members and green keepers worked side by side to clear the hedges by the first tee.
It was great to see this area cleared and it will provide a great area in the future for safe buggy turning on the first tee.
Many thanks go out to Lee James for organising this project, Kelvin, Gordon Child and Peter MacLoughlin.
We are so happy Peter’s chainsaw was not totally destroyed, reports have come in this morning that it is back working again. Phew!!!!!
In tough and challenging conditions the Churston faithful led by our Captain battled the elements for Rowcroft Hospice. Over 80 golfers never gave in and were determined to make the day a great success for Chris Wills and his chosen charity. The true winner was Rowcroft Hospice. Well Done Chris for never giving in. The total raised on the day is approaching 4K. Thank you to all the sponsors and to Santander for doubling the total raised.
Congratulations to the Men’s & Ladies’ winners of Captain’s Charity Day 2017 at Churston Golf Club

Congratulations to our SDL team on winning the SDL Presentation Day held at Churston. Well done to Dan Greaves and Ash Millar on winning the individual prize. Also huge congratulations to Teignmouth Golf Club on winning the South Devon League this season. Many thanks go to Rob Butterworth and all our excellent staff for putting on such a great day. We received so much positivity about the course and the food from all the visiting teams. Together we are stronger.
