Thank you for showing an interest in becoming a Member of Churston Golf Club. Churston provides a Golf Course with services to match, and our Subscription reflects the all year round playability of the Golf Course. The Club still retains an Entrance Fee. If you have not experienced the course please contact me on 01803 842751 and I will arrange for you to have a game at a mutually convenient time.
Application for Membership
All Full Members will be asked to fill out an application form to ensure the Club has the correct data. Please ensure the application form is completed in full. Please note that proposers and seconders are not essential but preferred. New Members will be invited to an informal induction evening once they have paid their fees.
The Club’s membership year runs from 1st April – 31st March and at present we have spaces available for Full Playing Membership (£895).
New Full Playing Members joining the Club part way through the year will have their subscription calculated pro-rata for the remainder of the current year. Membership intake normally closes from mid February until the year- end in order to prepare and post out the subscription invoices for the following year.
The Entrance Fee for new Members will be £680.00. The Entrance Fee can be split over three years or paid over 10 months using the a Direct Debit scheme.
Those members who are transferring from Fairway Membership to Full Membership may pay an Entrance Fee of £480.00.
The subscription for 2016/17 is set at £895.00. This can be paid upfront or spread over 10 months using a Direct Debit scheme.
On receipt of all dues Members will receive a diary, bag tag and that year’s membership sticker. The Member will also receive a copy of the Terms and Conditions and the Club’s Rule Book. Members will receive a Swipe Card and be entitled to the discount structure on bar and restaurant purchases as the Board decides.
Registering for BRS
New Members will be able to register on the BRS Tee Time System. They must set their category and be enabled by the Manager.
Payment for Golf
With Full Membership there is no other fee to be paid to play golf.
Full Members are entitled to compete and win all competitions and represent the Club.
Full Members will be entitled to vote at all Company Meetings.
If you would like to be considered for membership, please complete the attached application form and return it to the Clubhouse. We shall then try and arrange a mutually convenient time for you to attend a short informal interview, before being offered a membership of the Club.
I look forward to welcoming you to Churston Golf Club.
Fairway Membership 2016/17
Terms and Conditions
“a flexible membership for the lifestyle of today”
Application for Membership
Application for membership will mirror full membership applications. All Fairway Members will be asked to fill out an application form to ensure the Club has received the correct data. Please note that proposers and seconders are not essential but preferred. New Members will be invited to an informal induction evening once they have paid their fees.
The Entrance Fee for new Fairway Members will be £200.00. The Entrance Fee can be split over two years or paid over 10 months using Direct Debit scheme.
Those members who are transferring from one type of playing membership to Fairway Membership will not have to pay an Entrance Fee.
Previous members who wish to rejoin as Fairway Members and are within 5 years of leaving Churston Golf Club, will pay £100.00 Entrance Fee, those who have been left longer will pay the full £200.00 Entrance Fee.
Those Fairway Members who wish to transfer to Full Membership will have £200.00 deducted from the price of a full Entrance Fee at that time.
The subscription for 2016/17 is set at £265.00. This can be paid upfront or spread over 10 months using a Direct Debit scheme.
On receipt of all dues the new Fairway Members will receive a diary, coloured bag tag (not white) and that year’s membership sticker. The new Fairway Member will also receive a copy of the Terms and Conditions that apply to Fairway Membership and the Club’s Rule Book. Fairway Members will also be entitled to a swipe card, which will be ordered at this time. Fairway members will be entitled to the very same discount structure on bar and restaurant purchases as Full Members.
Registering for BRS
Fairway Members will be able to register on the BRS Tee Time System. They must set their category as Fairway Membership and be enabled by the Manager.
Fairway Members will appear in a different colour on the BRS Start Sheet.
Payment for Golf
Fairway Members will be asked to pay for their golf before they play. In British Summer Time the fees will be £16.00 before 13:30 and £12.00 after 13:31. In Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) the fees will be £16.00 before 11:30 and £12.00 after 11:31. Those Fairway Members wishing to play some holes in the evening must pre pay before they play, there will be no exceptions to this rule. The minimum payment for golf after 6.00pm is £9.50.
Once payment has been received by the Pro Shop Staff, Fairway Members will be given a ticket to display clearly on their golf bag to identify that they have paid the appropriate fee on that day. Fairway Members are asked to remove all tickets which are out of date.
A Course Marshal will be patrolling the course to ensure that all Fairway Members have pre paid for their golf. The Club will take a stance of zero tolerance. If any Fairway Member is caught on the course without first paying a green fee they will be asked in the first place to leave the course and secondly invited to join as a Full Member, as they would have forfeited their Fairway Membership.
Fairway Members are entitled to play in all competitions and win all trophies. Fairway Members playing in competitions, including match play events, singles doubles and mixed will come under the same rules and regulations as Full Members. In match play events Fairway Members must be flexible with the times they are available, even if this means paying a higher green fee.
On paying the correct fees, Fairway Members have the same playing privileges as Full Members. Fairway Members are able to represent the Club in competitive and friendly competition play, however when playing at home the normal fee will apply.
Fairway Members will not be entitled to vote at Company Meetings, however they will be entitled to attend all meetings.
I look forward to welcoming you to the Club.
